“I regard the theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being. This supremacy of the theater derives from the fact that it is always now on the stage.” |
About the Red Dot Players...The Red Dot Players are a theatre troupe for Okanagan College students, employees, and community members. We are sponsored by Arts and Foundational Programs at Okanagan College and based in Kelowna, British Columbia. Our mission is to produce plays that entertain, challenge, and educate audiences; to provide Okanagan College students and employees with an opportunity for creative self-expression; and to contribute to the arts in the Okanagan Valley.
Since our formation in 2010, we have produced thirteen plays: The Beaux' Stratagem (2011), Blithe Spirit (2012), Les Belles-Soeurs (2013), The Government Inspector (2014), The Black Bonspiel of Wullie MacCrimmon (2015), A.K.A. Fangirl (2016), Sense and Sensibility (2017), Neverwhere (2018), Pride and Prejudice (2019), Vanity Fair (2020), Wonder of the Age (Winter 2022), Folk Tales: Grimm & Otherwise (Fall 2022), and The Beast of Blackthorn Manor (Winter 2023). We have also produced a short film (The Infernal Machinations of Dr. Mordeau, 2015) and an audio play (Special Guest, 2021). The "Past Productions" section of this website contains cast and crew lists, press releases, and photo galleries for each of these productions.
